Google to Invest 1 Billion USD in Thailand

Google Invests $1 Billion in Thailand

Today, Thailand officially accepted a major investment proposal from tech giant Google, which announced plans to fund the construction of its own data center in the country. The company stated that this investment will meet the growing demand for cloud technologies and support the integration of artificial intelligence across Southeast Asia.

According to a Deloitte study on the project, the investment is expected to create an average of 14,000 jobs annually until 2029. This will likely lead to a new wave of expats moving to Thailand and, naturally, a surge in real estate purchases across the country.

Ruth Porat, Alphabet’s Chief Investment Officer, added that by 2029, Google’s investment is projected to boost Thailand’s GDP by approximately $4 billion USD.
